Nearly everyone knows a Louis Vuitton handbag or suitcase when they see one, mostly due to the iconic logo pattern that adorns each one. But to truly understand the global reach of the brand, one need only look at the numbers: the French fashion giant generated more than $91 billion in revenue in 2024.
But did you know that LV has also and for a very long time been an ardent supporter of the arts? They even opened a Frank Gehry designed museum in Paris in 2014, fittingly named the Fondation Louis Vuitton. It's worth seeing for the spectacular architecture alone.
Seven years later, surely acknowledging the brand's enthusiastic fandom in Japan, the Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka debuted.

Now as part of an ongoing collaboration with Japan's most famous living artist Yayoi Kusama (check out this super cool video short for the 2023 Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Collection), this past July LV debuted the new exhibition YAYOI KUSAMA - INFINITY – Selected Works from the Collection, at the Osaka space. Highlights include her 1990 acrylic on canvas work simply titled 'DOTS', 2022's cheeky 'Untitled (Feet)', her 'Phalli's Field' Infinity Mirror Room - and most joyfully, 2023's 'Great Giant Pumpkin', which stands a full 19.5 feet tall!
The exhibit will run through January 2026. Though we suspect that Yayoi and LV will be continuing their wonderful artistic partnership well beyond then.
