Rihanna's kids' are fans.
Without a doubt, Cocomelon is by far the most breathtaking children's entertainment phenomenon of the 21st Century. Launched in 2018 as the evolution of ABCKidTV, it now boasts 200 million plus subscribers on Youtube, is available in a dozen languages, and has generated numerous spinoffs. 'Cocomelon: The Movie' is scheduled for a 2027 release date, with characters being voiced by such marquee talent as Nicholas Hoult, SNL's Sarah Sherman, and seven-time Grammy winner SZA, whose 'Be Kind to Me, Be Kind to You' song for Sesame Street last year we just can't get enough of.
There have even been thoughtful think pieces on its outsize success, with a 2022 Time Magazine story observing that, "there is something rare about the hold that Cocomelon exerts on babies and toddlers." And in 2024 an article in The New Yorker straight up enthused, "young children are crazy for Cocomelon." They are indeed.
The show also counts such very famous parents (or at least their kids) amongst its fandom as Rihanna/A$AP Rocky, Emmy-winning actress Keke Palmer, and former 'High School Musical' star Ashley Tisdale. And perhaps taking a cue from Rihanna's billion-dollar fashion biz Savage x Fenty, naturally CocoMelon had to have its own apparel line, which it launched in 2024 in partnership with online retail colossus SHEIN. (It's simply called Cocomelon X SHEIN.)
Of course that meant everything from dresses to sweatshirts and accessories featuring those beloved Cocomelon characters Cody, Cece, JJ and Nina, and lots of bright, happy pastel colors - perfect for the summer wardrobes of fashionable kids from 0-7. And 2026 sees the line growing once again, with a plethora of crazy-cute new products.
For kids 4-7, specifically, there are dresses rocking the adorable Cece character, an ice-cream lovers' 'Always Chilled!' ruffled sleeved t-shirt, a 'Be Cute Be Kind' hoodie, and for boys, a dinosaur patterned zip-up hoodie. Though our absolute favorite for littler ones is the Ladybug coin purse, which pairs perfectly with a set of matching patterned socks.
Parents: whilst shopping for new clothes, it's a great time to teach kids to learn about environmental concerns and sustainability. We recommend the recent Cocomelon video 'Yes Yes Save the Earth and the Recycling Truck', which focuses on important things like picking up trash, conserving water, and recycling / reusing plastic. You’re never too young to learn about things that matter!
