'Rock It!' Bratz Turns 25

May 28, 2026

Here's how to celebrate the 'Bratzaversary'

Yes, America is turning 250 this July. And, of course, Dolly Parton turned 80 in January, though still doesn't look a day over, well...Dollyness.

But to a global fanbase of kids and grownups alike, that is estimated at about 5.5 million, the "event" of 2026 is surely the 25th anniversary of Bratz, the post-Y2k doll phenomenon whose sales figures now number - would we kid you? - around 150 million. For perspective, Barbie tops out around a billion - but do keep in mind, she has also been around for 77 years.

"What started as a bold idea twenty-five years ago exploded into a full-blown cultural movement,” recalls Bratz President and Creative Director Jasmin Larian Hekmat of the line's monumental early success. "Today, Bratz isn’t just surviving, it’s thriving and continuing to push boundaries with style, confidence and attitude, sparking creativity, and proving that when you stay bold and true to yourself, you don’t just follow culture…you lead it."

As happens with most pop cultural sensations, at some point the celebrities come knocking at your door, dying to be a part of all the excitement. And indeed, 2023 saw them team up with the also very famous American media personality and cosmetics entrepreneur Kylie Jenner, for a series of seriously fashionable dolls, which even included a special "Met Gala" look - the first Bratz to ever step out at the annual New York City style event of the year. Then 2025 brought 'Bratz x Clueless', the seemingly first in a series of 'Movie Collector Dolls', based on the now iconic 1995 teen flick starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Elisa Donovan and Paul Rudd (Sadly, Rudd did not get his own Bratz doll, and we're guessing he was pretty bummed about it.)

In our technicolor dreams, we must admit, we actually enthusiastically imagine a KPop Demon Hunters / Bratz crossover series. And if we’re allowed to dream really big, a fabulous musical collab with Harry Styles would just be all too much, right?

But for the meantime, there will surely be plenty of fab to be had just listening to the new Bratz Chatz podcast, hosted by Sasha, Cloe, Jade and Yasmin, which will get fans up to date on the latest trends in fashion, music and pop culture (note to parents: please first determine which themes may be too grownup for your younger children before tuning in). It is debuting sometime later in 2026, in celebration of the 25th anniversary, and updates will be appearing on the Bratz Instagram page.

Of course, the 2026 Bratzaversary Gaia Collector Doll just debuted in May, with the most gorgeously flowing magenta locks ever imaginable. There will also be updated versions of Yasmin, Cloe, Jade and Sasha coming later this year, plus a new drop of the super popular Bratziez Bling Series.

Hekmat enthuses, "I’m beyond excited for what’s next as we celebrate this milestone, shake up the fashion world, and keep pushing boundaries for the next 25 years and beyond.”

Buckle up!

(Parents: A super creative project for kids is making their own DIY Bratz fashions - and this cool Pinterest page has a lot of great ideas for doing exactly that.)
